Our full day program follows the
same philosophy and guidelines as our preschool program,
with the addition of lunch and stimulating activities in the
afternoon. We provide a nurturing safe, loving environment
for children to spend their days while parents or guardians
are at work.
We also offer a program for children
enrolled in JK/SK on alternate days. It is convenient for
parents to drop their child(ren) off with us every day, and
if it is a school day for them, a teacher will escort them to
their classroom in the morning and pick them up at the end
of the school day. They stay with us for a full day on the
days they are not in school.
Our menus are carefully planned by a
qualified chef and we offer a delicious variety of food
during snack and lunch times. Meal time is a great
opportunity for children to practice self-help skills
(pouring, cutting) and social skills (manners, conversing
with friends).
Physical fitness and an appreciation
for the outdoors is developed during our morning and
afternoon sessions outside. We also have a science centre
indoors where we plant and observe seeds growing, explore
the insides of pumpkins, watch snow melt, discover what
floats and what sinks, and many other interesting
activities.
Brighton Day Care is staffed by ECE
qualified teachers plus dedicated assistants, and licenced for 24
children with an educator to child ratio of 1:8
